The first release from Elvis Unlimited Sweden, the start of something good?

Design

This release is a 10 Inch vinyl album so we have something big in our hands for a change. The colorized photo on the cover is a good choice for a release with material from 1954 to 1958. The only minor is the placing of the text over Scotty Moore, he surely contributed his part to the rise of Elvis Presley, so he deserves his spot.

Content

The songs are presented as a Hayride program, with original introduction, announcements and radio commercials and some interviews. The material is not new, but presented this way it is more fun to actually “play” it and listen to it.

Conclusion

For a first release we can only compliment the Swedish section of Elvis Unlimited, we hope they can continue in this way, and hopefully add something new on future releases.
